To make people aware of new version and security fix we should propose to make them subscribe to the typo3-announce@lists.typo3.org .

1. show a link (http://lists.typo3.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/typo3-announce) with short text explaining relevance to do that AND that the list is limited and very low in traffic so people are not afraid to sign-in.

2. Maybe offer a direct input filed so registration is done very fast.

3. Offer a skip button with text like "I'm already registered, skip this".
