Description

The browser (configured to ask if Flash should be allowed for the site or not) always asks to activate Flash when running the TYPO3 backend. I think there is no need for a flash element (I can’t see one) and should be removed.

Flash is indeed not used at all.
I discovered this issue already a long time ago, but unfortunately removing the warning/request is not easily possible.

The third party ExtJS library does some sort of feature detection in its bootstrap, which also queries Flash. That causes the browser to ask.
ExtJS is always loaded in the Backend of 6.2.

We hope that CMS 7 will be finally free of ExtJS and this problem is then gone too.

If you're eager to dig into that monster, you're very welcome to push a patch.

ExtJS uses a modular concept, so flash is a module.

In ExtJS 3.4 the chart module depends on flash but we don't use the chart nor do the needed swf file exists anymore on yahoo. So eliminating flash and chart module from our ExtJS is possible.
