Description

Would be great to have a possibility to un-delete files or even undo file changes.

That feature exists already. Unfortunately it's broken at the moment, see #66247.

Versioning for files was part of the original FAL concept, but we never got around implementing it. I also think we first need to straighten versioning support in the core for DB records before we go for implementing this, so I think this is rather CMS 9 or beyond than CMS 8. But that’s just my personal view, it might very well be higher priority for others in the team.

As comment #1 states: What do you need aside from the existing recycler concept? See https://typo3worx.eu/2016/07/typo3-file-recycler/ for an explanation.

The bug mentioned on the blog seems to be solved now; Is there something missing? Or can this issue be considered obsolete?
