I am happy to work on this issue.

Open questions / things which could be documented (some concern sys_redirects, some are related to slug handling in general):

• basics: what do the fields mean?
• basics: format of links / URLs (e.g. t3://page?uid=2)
• How is automatic slug conversion of subpages handled?
• How are redirects created automatically
• Tips for managing redirects (e.g. hit counter, automatic deletion)
• Tips for managing URLs - e.g. use Info -> Pagetree
• configuration???
• permission handling, e.g. how to give editors access (which you should probably only do for people who know what they are doing as they have access to redirects of entire installaion), see also #93903
• best practices - how to avoid chaos with redirects and unusable pages (see also #89327, #92748
• using the console command: redirects:checkintegrity. I find the output not so intuitive, e.g.

bin/typo3 redirects:checkintegrity -vvv
Redirect (Host: mysite.de, Path: /wire/entrepreneurship) conflicts with https://mysite.de/wire/entrepreneurship
Redirect (Host: mysite.de, Path: /informatik/media-informatics-and-multimedia-systems/team) conflicts with https://mysite.de/informatik/media-informatics-and-multimedia-systems/team
...

I think that the problem is that a page exists with the slug /wire/entrepreneurship but the redirect redirects from it rendering the page useless. The redirects did work though here.
