Description

I want to suggest or upvote to integrate this container plugin https://github.com/b13/container/blob/master/README.md into the core as this is a universal feature that is missing in the core currently (at least an easy implementation is missing).

A container content element that can wrap other content elements provides a solution for a lot of design situations.
As this extension already implements all core features like localization, workspaces, etc. I would like to give the implementation of this into the core an upvote at this point and for my own current project implementations I would like to know about these future plans if there are any.

The CIG "structured content" is currently working on that topic. The implementation will include a new page module.

I will close this issue as there are no plans to integrate Flux, DCE, Mask, Gridelements or Container into Core for the time being. Extensions first need to be fully compatible with multi-language handling + workspace handling (and both), fully covered with tests. Why? Otherwise we (= I) have to maintain this on top of the other 2000 issues, whilst having this feature already available in existing Core versions (v9 at least) having more people from the community involved.
