Problem/Description

I add an shortcut page as an backend editor
  • set shortcut mode to "Selected page"
  • and fill the column "pages.shortcut" with a page UID of a translated page (in another page tree)

Now depending from whatever language uid you come, the link is always generated as you would link to the default language page.

From a editors perspective it's a problem when you can select the language in the TYPO3 link browser but the link isn't generated correct.
