Description

A user should be able to choose a prefered RTE, if more than one is installed.
Further, the default RTE should be configurable more easiliy (via user-/pageTS, install-tool or whatever). Installing the RTE-extensions in a certain order is NOT an option because of usability.

I just got back to work these since a long time of absence and noticed, that this bug is now refering to tx_rtehtmlarea. I don't think this is a missing feature of the HTMLarea extension, but some core stuff, as this affects any RTE available. Might this be part of the RTE-API?

Well, any news on this issue?

I agree. This cannot be a feature of htmlArea RTE, only of the core RTE-API.

I agree with both of you, however I won't fix this. Maybe someone else will do.

@Stanislas: Please do not assign bugs to me which are simply in the wrong category because I am not able to move them into another one (missing Mantis feature?)

I vote for wontfix.

Reason:
Different RTEs may create different output. This makes it hard to create consistent HTML ouput of the site. So all users should use same RTE.

If anyone still wants to implement this feature. Make sure the admin may disable this RTE choosing feature..

Due to the age of this bug I assume it can be closed.
Or can someone still reproduce this bug?
