Description
Using latest Firefox, after the auto logout the Backend top row features appear too be usable, seems to be trivial, that it has no effect...noticed it in a second. not truly a bug ...

I don't think this is security related; so there's no need to make this issue a private one. I'll make it public this evening. Please communicate any objections until then, if you feel so!
I can confirm this and don't consider it as a security related issue.
The visual feedback on these toolbare icons for the back-end user is missing when session expired. The mentioned icons should be greyed or the click-behaviour removed (and reverted back when user logs in again).
Issue not security related
-> setting "View status" to public
I added an image with my proposal. I think this would not only solve this problem it also improves the hole backend, because until now (after clicking away the message) the backend does not communicate when your session has expired - which I think it should do.
P.S. As you can see i'm not a master designer. But my point should be clear.
Resolved, won't fix.
This is solved differently with 4.3: The backend redirects to the login screen automagically if the session expired.
