Add HTML5 placeholder text to search form input field
Added by Mario Rimann over 13 years ago.
Updated over 11 years ago.
Description
In issue #17496 we're adding a short text into the input field of the indexed_search plugin to aid the user. During the review the request came up to add a placeholder-attribute to the input field.
This is now to add this attribute in a separate step and to check if that affects the current browsers in any (negative) way.
Details can be found in the W3C working paper (thanks to Stefan Neufeind for pointing out this topic): http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/Overview.html#the-placeholder-attribute
