Hide/Unhide of content-element triggers unnecessary pagetree-reload
Added by Stefan Neufeind about 12 years ago.

Backend User Interface
Description
In page-view click on a content-element and choose hide/unhide from the menu.
Pagetree reloads as well, which is unnecessary. Even with small pagetrees this causes unnecessary delay (and some "flickering").
When attempting to fix this please also take List-view into account. However if a page-record is hidden/unhidden notice that this requires a pagetree-reload then. It might be possible however to just trigger a partial pagetree-reload (as the fetch that's done when expanding the pagetree).

Can you explain how to "hide/unhide" content elements "from the menu"?
There is no such thing for content elements (not to my knowledge), but only for pages. If you hide/unhide pages from the menu, the pagetree must be reloaded to reflect the current state.
I think Stefan means the reload of the tree, if you use the context menu. See screenshot attached.
