Description
Please get back to the default extension sorting like in version 6.2.
This sorting ist much better because you can see which extension are no system extension at a glance.
- Status changed from New to Needs Feedback
just click on the header "version" and you see it as well as all core extensions have the same version as your installation.
is this enough for you?
Hello Georg,
sorry but I don't like this. It is sad that the sorting changes in every version.
For me the sorting off version 6.2 was the best.
Regards
- Status changed from Needs Feedback to New
My idea how usability should look like in EM:
- Have a button to toggle core extensions' visibility (default: core exts hidden)
- Default sorting should be: first all extensions which have updates available, then non-core extensions, then core-extensions
+1 for a button/filter for core extensions
I add a couple of other proposals:
- show only installed/not installed extensions
- show only extensions that need an update
- Related to Feature #70157: Show extensions to update at top of list added
- Status changed from New to Closed
As sorting by type is possible and the sort order is persisted, the main thing left in this issue is the filtering of extensions which is defined in #83463 - I'm therefor closing this issue. Please continue discussion in #83463
- Related to Feature #89894: Separate system extensions from 3rd-party extensions visually added
- Related to deleted (Feature #89894: Separate system extensions from 3rd-party extensions visually)
