Selecting a bookmark in the backend should mark the page as selected in the page tree

Description
System¶
- TYPO3 8.7.8
- Basic TYPO3 Installation (introduction package)
Reproduce¶
- Create a bookmark of a page
- Select the bookmark
This will load the bookmarked page correctly but the page tree will just get reloaded but stay the same.
Expected result¶
I would expect some visual feedback for the bookmarked page in the page tree, ideally expanding the page tree and displaying it as selected (similar to selecting it manually).

Ricardo, well #75162 is most probably a duplicate. Too bad, but I searched for similar bugs in forge, but didn't find that one.
I had the problem as admin user.
Doing some tests now ... Cool! Seems to be fixed by update 8.7.8 >> 8.7.9
8.7.8 / admin user : problem exists
8.7.8 / non-admin user: problem exists
8.7.9 / admin user : OK!
8.7.9 / non-admin user: OK!
Didn't test with TYPO3 7 or 6 now.
Hello @Sybille and thank you for your findings! I would not worry about 7.6 and 6.2: the first one is in priority bugfix so only security-related and critical issues will be tackled and the latter is no more supported :)
I am still able to reproduce the issue with the following scenario, could you confirm?
- TYPO3 8.7.9
- non-admin user
- create a new page using the drag and drop method (icons above the pagetree)
- click on the freshly created page and set the bookmark
- click on another page (the other page is highlighted)
- click on the bookmark
Result:
you go to the bookmarked page, but the previous page is still highlighted
I think that the issue shows itself only when no reload of the pagetree is involved If you reload the pagetree or un-hide the newly created page, so that the pagetree is reloaded, everything works! I have not tested other actions that reload the pagetree, but this is my suspect.

Yes, I can reproduce everything you described and the results.

I falsely mislabled this issue as feature, but it's a bug. Fixing now.

I just tested this in 9.2.0-dev (current master) and the original problem occurs again: Jumping in the page tree on bookmark selection does not work.
The other problem is pretty much an edge case, so I suggest we focus on this.
I changed the TYPO3 version for this issue to 9.
