Hello Core-Team,

I would prefer a global configuration, in maybe ext_conf_template.txt, to enable/disable statistics in EXT:redirect. IMO a redirect should be as fast as possible. No time for INSERT/UPDATE operations. Please make use of Piwik, Apache-Logs or whatever, if you need these information.
In time before EXT:redirect you may have your redirects in .htaccess. You don't have such statistics there, too. So I prefer to disable this feature by default and add a possibility to activate it, if needed.
