@Benni Mack: I took the freedom in this special case to assign the issue to you.

I've added a .t3x and a .zip of latest ext:statictemplates. It should be uploaded to TER as version 6.1.0. After that, a small patch in core is needed to fetch it during ugdate (see follow-up issue).

This issue should be solved before 6.1 final!

The documentation still refers to a not existing »statictemplate« extension in TER: http://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/TyposcriptReference/MenuObjects/GmenuLayersTmenuLayers/Index.html#tmenulayers

Please either upload the legacy extension, or we follow Georg Ringers idea (http://forge.typo3.org/issues/25026#note-5) to add the scripts or the extension on a wiki page and change the documentation.

There is a bug in ext:statictemplates, that I have commited here:
[[https://forge.typo3.org/issues/36719#note-39]]
There is old - unfixed - code in this extension. You should update that code like this:
open the file statictemplates/Classes/ContentObjectMenu/Menu/TextMenuLayersContentObject.php
and replace all $GLOBALS['TSFE']->JSCode with $GLOBALS['TSFE']->additionalJavaScript['gmenu_layer_code'].
