You can unselect the items from the clipboard.

the message is ok - it should do what the message says

at now, not the clipboard is cleared but the elements are really deleted from the list view (hidden=1)

that makes no sense - if i want to delete an element, i can do it directly.

And i can move them instead of copying.

No - that is an bug, not an feature.

The issue still exists in TYPO3 Version 4.5, 6.0, 6.1

yes that is the problem. The dialog is misleading.

Maybe we cloud do two things:

Add an element "clear clipboard" and change the js dialog to

Delete ALL selected elements on the clipboard!

The selected records will be deleted in the clipboard AND in the list view. 

Are you shure to delete them?

There is already an icon to clear the clipboard (the "x" besides the context menu). Maybe adding the "Clear" as a text to the select box would help differenciate the "Delete" from the "Clear", and maybe rephasing them: "Delete Records" and "Clear Clipboard".

i do not understand, why it should be possible to delete items which i put on the clipboard? IMHO this is an usuability issue - from an editors view it makes no sense to put something on a clibboard and deleting it afterwards. You really think editors will work like that?

But perhaps i am wrong - an better message would be nice too...

btw.: does this issue needs feedback from me?
