TYPO3 Core

This was a delibarate decision. The thinking was that disabling a task is not such a common operation and that it doesn't justify the additional clutter to the list view. I know that it's common to have such a button in TYPO3's other list views, but these are not really examples of usability ;-)

What do you think?

you're right, it's perhaps not used so often, but it common in TYPO3 that's why it should be there

I am used to it, that's why I miss it.
Read it like this: It's the on/off button and even if the machine mostly runs all the time, it's good to have it in place.

I found myself disabling / enabling several tasks pretty often.

This especially happens if we sync a live-database back to our dev-system. We then disable critical tasks like mailer tasks. This can be pretty boring if you need to disable 10 tasks and must open each one to do so.

Thus I'd like to have a more straight forward way to disable / enable multiple tasks at once, too.

Point taken. Although it's a minor change and could be probably be waived by Benni to go into 4.4., as far as I'm concerned, it will wait for 4.5, because I'm too busy.

However if one of you wants to try and push this issue, you have my blessing.
