Feature #31377
closedEnable cut / copy buttons for Backend Layout / grids
0%
Description
Currently it is not possible to copy a single content element to the clipboard, when using the page module with backend layouts. A user must go to the list module, find the right CE and cut / copy it and paste it into the target page.
It would be much more convinient to be able to copy and paste the element in the page module.

I don't think that the icons should be added.
Grid Elements already provides drag+drop by default, so a better approach might be to behave like the page tree: push Crtl/Shift when dropping the element.

A patch posted for review solves this problem:
https://review.typo3.org/#/c/22201/
Altough it does this not via drag&drop.
But the infrastructure for doing copy&paste with additional field changes (colPost, sys_language_uid, etc.) is created.
Two options:
1. Implement clipBoard handling via ExtDirect (#32152) AND implement drag&drop for grid elements (this issuse) --> target state
2. Apply patch mentioned above for 6.2 LTS until 1. properly works

This is already in 8.6 available ... also the DnD in backend layouts.
It can be closed.
