Dear TYPO3-Team,
I just found out, that there is no non breaking space ( ) in the glyphe popup of ckeditor. Maybe is has gone by the board.

Hello, you can easily insert non breaking spaces using shift + space or ctrl + space. I think there is no need to add non breaking spaces to glyphs

Does SHIFT+SPACE or CTRL+SPACE really work for you in CKEDITOR? Tested in several installations and it didn't work in any of them.
It doesn't seem to be a feature of CKEditor without plugin: https://dev.ckeditor.com/ticket/13733
